JANE EYRE

With Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell, Holliday Grainger, Tamzin Merchant, Craig Roberts, Sally Hawkins

Written by Moira Buffini (based on the novel by Charlotte Brontë)
Directed by Cary Fukunaga

Charlotte Brontë's darkly emotional classic 19th century novel is brought to the screen with wonderful detail and style.
Jane Eyre abruptly flees Thornfield Hall, where she was employed as the governess to Edward Rochester's daughter Adele. She finds herself on the desolate moors where she is taken it to recover by the Rivers family, head by the young clergyman St. John. Growing close to them, the viewer is systematically exposed to Jane's tough past and the hard path that led her to (and away from) Thornfield Hall, and the dark secrets hidden within its walls.
A highly effective, tragically dramatic period piece.

Nominated for a 2012 Best Costume Oscar.

Bonus DVD features include deleted scenes, a commentary track, and several featurettes looking at aspects of the movie, like an inside look, its music and design.
